
The Information Systems and Databases Laboratory (ISDLAB) is an institutional laboratory of the Department of Informatics at the Ionian University. Its permanent staff consists of five faculty members (Prof. Panagiotis Kourouthanassis, Prof. Adamantia Pateli, Prof. Nikolaos Korfiatis, Prof. Vasileios Karyotis and Assistant Prof. Georgios Dimitrakopoulos) and one member of the laboratory teaching staff (Dr Dimitrios Ringas). The laboratory covers the teaching and research activities of the students and the staff of the Department across a wide range of subject areas, from the analysis and design of information systems to artificial intelligence and network science.
The members of the laboratory have authored more than 400 articles in leading international journals and conferences. Their scientific work is widely recognised by the international academic community, with more than 14,000 citations (Google Scholar) and more than 7,000 external citations (Scopus).
